Myasthenia Gravis Support Group of Central Texas Launches New Website Site

Serves as Resource for Patients and Caregivers Affected by Neuromuscular Disease, Support Group Celebrates 11th Annual Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month

AUSTIN, Texas (June 14, 2011) – The Myasthenia Gravis (MG) Support Group of Central Texas has launched a new Website at www.mg-centraltexas.org.

“The purpose of the support group’s new Website is simple – to generate awareness of MG particularly here in Central Texas,” said Linda Ann Joslin, Facilitator, MG Support Group of Central Texas. “This misunderstood and frequently misdiagnosed disease impacts the lives of seven out of every 10,000 individuals in the United States.”

“The site we now have in place is user friendly and easy to navigate, but more importantly it contains a wealth of information for patients and caregivers, providing insight as to what it’s like to live with MG – as a number of our members have posted their own stories about living with the disease,” continued Joslin. “These narratives would have been a tremendous resource for me when I was initially diagnosed in 2006.”
